PURPOSE: A high-speed digital TDL(taped delay line) filter used in a digital communication and a binary data filtering method perform a high-speed operation processing, and optimize a hardware area. CONSTITUTION: A TDL(taped delay line) filter includes an input data latch part(21) which has an output tap for shifting/latching an input data, and has many registers serially connected. A pseudo-noise(PN) code generator(22) generates PN-sequences corresponding to the output tap of the input data latch part. A correlation value calculator(23) has many multipliers which multiply an output generated from each register output tap of the input data latch part by the PN-sequence corresponding to the output, and calculate a correlation value. The multipliers are divided into many groups according to a calculation sequence, each output of each multiplier is added every group. The output register latches an output of the adder. The adder adds the correlation values previously calculated, and uses an output of the output register of the previous group latched as another input. The correlation value operation part(24) includes the adder and the output register. Thereby, an operation speed becomes improved, and the gate number is considerably reduced. |
