The invention relates to process for making a block beam by the use of stackable chilled blocks, which consist of block parts 1, 2 provided with trapdoors and joined together with an insulating inlay 3, such as "styrox", i.e. a polystyrene layer, and the trapdoor being filled with cast concrete mass 6 when the chilled blocks are stacked as a wall. At the apertural transitions in the stacked block wall, such as at windows and doors, load- bearing steel profiles 4 are fitted, which find themselves at the top of the cast recess for the coming chilled blocks. <IMAGE>
