PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder with a rubber cover having the cover not displaced by the opening/closing actions of master jaws. SOLUTION: This holder comprises a cylinder section having a piston 2 reciprocated by fluid pressure, a plurality of master jaws 5 guided by a guide mechanism to take opening/closing actions, an action direction converting mechanism section 4 converting the reciprocating actions of the piston 2 into the opening/closing actions of the master jaws 5, and the rubber cover covering a sliding section. The rubber cover comprises the same number of bag shape sections 8 as that of the master jaws 5 having opening sections where the master jaws 5 are protruded and expanded/shrunk by the opening/closing actions of the master jaws 5, fastening sections 9 arranged between the bag shape sections 8 and each having the width of about 1/10 of the axial length of a body from the upper face end face of the holder, and a projection 6 inserted and locked into the insertion hole 7 of the body provided at the lower section of the bag shape sections 8.
