<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stability and improve responsiveness even if a loss time for detecting a width of a material after rolling varies by a rolling speed change of a rolling mill. SOLUTION: In a design method for a material width control system which controls a width of the material by a rotation speed of a rolling mill after rolling and a loss time for detecting the width of the material varies by the rolling speed change, by representing rotation numbers of the roll mill as a time variable and representing a parameter for dynamic characteristic after correction by the function of the prescribed rotation numbers, the control system constitutes a control model which does not vary the loss time by the change of time variable, applies a robust control design method to determine the parameter of the control model, and controls the command timing sequentially calculated by the prescribed formula from the rotation numbers based on the control model.</p> |
