PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent partition structure of the sliding door type capable of being smoothly opened and closed in good appearance. SOLUTION: A transparent wall 7 and a sliding door 10 held closed are positioned on a vertical plane P. A sliding guide mechanism 20 guides the sliding door 10 between a closed position and an out position and has guide members 21 and 22 provided on the sliding door and adjustable rollers 25 and 26 provided at a sill part to run along the guide grooves of the guide members. A linear movement guiding mechanism 30 guides the sliding door 10 between the out position and an open position and has sash rollers 31 and 32 provided at the sliding door and first and second rails 35 and 36 provided at the sill part for guiding the sash rollers 31 and 32 placed thereon. The adjustable rollers 25 and 26 are free to roll in all directions and the door rollers 31 and 32 are rotatable about axes perpendicular to the sliding door 10. During the process by which the sliding door 10 is moved from the outer position to the open position, the guide of the sliding door by the sliding guide mechanism 20 is switched to the guide by the linear movement guiding mechanism 30.
