<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered roller bearing capable of precluding a premature seizure and/or flaking and of decreasing the torque loss. <P>SOLUTION: The tapered roller bearing 41 is composed of an outer ring 42, an inner ring 43, a plurality of tapered rollers 44, and a retainer 45. The major end face 52 of each roller 44 is formed as a convex curved surface continued to the taper surface, and a large flange surface 55 of the inner ring 43 is formed as a concave curved surface mating with the convex surface of the end face. Using the line L2 passing the cone center as the reference, the contacting line L1 of the tapered roller 44 with the raceway surface 53 of the inner ring 43 lies outside about the radial direction at the minor end of each roller and inside about the radial direction at the major end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
