A plasma display panel is provided to lower an address voltage and enhance discharge efficiency by forming auxiliary address electrodes and auxiliary scan electrodes at a position adjacent to discharge cells. A first and second substrates(10,20) are opposite to each other. A rear barrier layer(30) includes a plurality of first barrier ribs(32) and a plurality of second barrier ribs(34) crossing the plurality of first barrier ribs in order to define a plurality of discharge cells(80). Phosphor layers(70) are formed within the discharge cells. A plurality of first electrodes(40) and a plurality of second electrodes(50) are formed in parallel to the first barrier ribs within the first barrier ribs. A plurality of first auxiliary electrodes(45) and a plurality of second auxiliary electrodes(55) are projected from the first and second electrodes. A plurality of address electrodes(60) intersect the first and second electrodes and are arranged in parallel to each other on the first substrate. A plurality of auxiliary address electrodes(65) are projected from the address electrodes to the discharge cells.
