PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna assembly capable of changing the radiation direction of an electromagnetic wave into a wide range of 90°or more continuously by simple structure. SOLUTION: The antenna assembly 1 comprises a columnar dielectric rod antenna 11 for propagating the electromagnetic wave in a slow-wave mode, a plurality of hollow members 12 whose hollow parts are pierced by the dielectric rod antenna 11, and connecting members 13 for mutually connecting the plurality of hollow members 12. The radiation direction of the electromagnetic wave can be changed by switching a state (a) that the plurality of hollow members 12 are brought into contact with each other by bending the connecting members 13, and a state (b) that the plurality of hollow members 12 are arranged at predetermined intervals by stretching the connecting members 13.
