PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the privacy of a reception image, and to easily inform the outside of information for identifying the reception image to some extent. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a communication section for receiving an image inputted from a communication line; an image storage section for storing the image as the reception image; a print section for printing the reception image inputted from the image storage section on a prescribed object partially or entirely; an operation section for accepting the designation of a print mode, and setting information for designating a print region regarding the reception image; a setting storage section for storing the setting information; and a control section that allows the print section to print the entire reception image stored at the image storage section when a normal print mode is designated from the operation section, and allows the print section to print only a designation section designated by the setting information stored at the setting storage section in the reception image when a reception output prohibition mode is designated.
