PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide easily a variable resistor having a high precision property of resistance change used for the temperature control of car-air conditioners, the control of video image, audio etc. of AV equipment. SOLUTION: The variable resistor is configured so that resistors 16, 17 for adjustment are provided respectively in lead-outs 12A, 12B between the both end of a resistance element 12 and terminals 14A, 14B. The each resistor 16, 17 is configured so that three auxiliary resistors 16A-16C, 17A-17C are formed at equal intervals so as to be a status of electrically parallel.
