PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mounting a transformer to a printed-circuit board capable of keeping a creepage distance between the transformer and the pattern on the rear surface of the printed-circuit board corresponding to the creepage distance regulated by the PALIEC specification without causing an increase in cost. SOLUTION: A spare board 2 is arranged between the transformer 1 and the printed-circuit board 3, downward locking nails 1b are provided on both sides of the transformer 1, locking holes 2b with the locking nails 1b locked are formed to the board 2, and the transformer 1 is fixed to the board 2 by inserting a terminal 1a of the transformer 1 to a terminal insertion hole 2a provided to the board 2 and by locking the nails 1b of the transformer 1 to the holes 2b of the board 2. Further, the lower end of the terminal 1a of the transformer 1 is inserted into a terminal insertion hole 3a provided to a board 3 and fixerd, and the creepage distance between the pattern of the rear surface of the board 3 and the transformer 1 is kept by the board 2.
