PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a wire having dissimilar sections capable of prolonging the lifetime of a wire drawing die and increasing the wire drawing speed in the dissimilar wire drawing of a steel wire, in particular, a low alloy steel. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method has a pickling step of removing scales on a surface of a steel wire by the pickling, and a coating film forming step of depositing a zinc phosphate coating film by processing the steel wire with a zinc phosphate solution with a predetermined chelate being added thereto before a dissimilar wire drawing step. In the dissimilar wire drawing step, the surface of the steel wire with the zinc phosphate coating film deposited thereon is drawn by using a lubricant containing any one or both of a tetrafluoroethylene resin and a melamine resin.
