PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal apparatus not only being suitable for a narrow installation space, requiring for few structural members for the whole apparatus, and capable of being economically and easily constructed, but reducing equipment costs and running costs. SOLUTION: The garbage disposal apparatus is equipped with a fermentation tank 8, and a garbage throwing apparatus 2 which has a screw conveyor 3 throwing garbage D to the lower part of the fermentation tank 8 while crushing it. The fermentation tank 8 is internally provided with a stirring device 5 comprising a stirring cylinder 6, and a stirring screw 7 raising the garbage D accumulated in the lower part of the fermentation tank 8 inside the stirring cylinder 6 to disperse and fall the garbage from the stirring cylinder 6. The screw conveyor 3 is reversely operated, so as to be used also as a discharge conveyor for treated garbage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
