The present invention relates to a communication technique fusing an internet of things (IoT) and a fifth generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data transfer rate after a 4G system, and a system thereof. The present invention is applied to an intelligent service (for example, a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart or connected vehicle, healthcare, digital education, retail sales, and a security and safety related service, etc.) based on a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology. According to the present invention, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for supporting a licensed-assisted access (LAA) technology in a wireless communication system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method comprises the following steps: transmitting, to a base station using a first communication technology, a first report message including information about whether or not a terminal supports the LAA technology; and when the use of a second communication technology is detected from a first band included in an LAA band, transmitting, to the base station, a second report message including information about the use of the second communication technology. |
