摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system mounted in a hybrid vehicle and provided with a lithium-ion secondary battery, capable of accurately determining a solidified state of electrolyte while protecting the battery.SOLUTION: A power storage system 2 is mounted in a vehicle 1 provided with an engine 100 and a first MG 10 for starting the engine 100 by cranking the engine 100. The power storage system 2 comprises: a battery 150 that includes a lithium-ion secondary battery; and an ECU 300. The battery 150 supplies electric power to the first MG 10 and is charged or discharged in response to a travel state of the vehicle 1. The ECU 300 measures a voltage VB and a current IB during cranking, calculates an internal resistance RB of the battery 150 from the measured voltage VB and current IB, and determines a solidified state of electrolyte on the basis of the calculated internal resistance RB.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
