PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of reducing malfunction by setting an appropriate ineffective area according to a display position of an object.SOLUTION: A communication terminal device includes: a display panel (10) that displays an object to be a target of touch operation by a user; a touch panel (11) that is provided overlapped on the display panel (10), and detects the touch operation by the user; and an ineffective area setting unit (123) that sets a detection ineffective area where the detection of the touch operation on the touch panel (11) is made ineffective.
