PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that performs monitoring by using a function in an image forming apparatus so as to reduce an installation cost and operation cost compared with a case of introducing dedicated equipment as a monitoring device.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: an image recording device 200 that forms an image on a recording material; detection means, such as a microphone 600 that acquires sound or vibration, and takes operation states including a normal state when the image recording device 200 normally operates and a monitoring state for detecting abnormality in a predetermined monitoring area; and switching means that switches the operation state of the detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
