PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer storage unit capable of improving efficiency in discharging a developer from a flexible container that includes the developer, by eliminating a labor for a user to open a seal member.SOLUTION: A developer storage unit 25 comprises: a developer storage container including a developer bag which has a plurality of openings and in which the developer is stored, and a seal member 19 for sealing the plurality of openings; an opening member 20 which moves the seal member 19 to remove the seal member 19 from the developer bag and open the seal member; frames 17 and 18 in which the developer storage container and the opening member 20 are accommodated; and a pressure member 21 which is disposed within the frames 17 and 18, presses and deforms the developer bag. The seal member 19 includes: a seal part 19a that is defined at one end side and seals the openings; a holding part 19b that is defined at the other end side and held by the opening member 20; and a connection part 19c which is formed between the seal part 19a and the holding part 19b in such a manner that the developer can pass therethrough.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
