PURPOSE:To collect the tobacco smoke from a smoker by a hood, to guide the smoke to a suction port and to enhance cleaning efficiency by providing the hood over the suction port. CONSTITUTION:A hood 12 from which a downward curtain wall 11 is extended from the whole or a part of its periphery on a visor projecting forward is provided over the suction port 7 of a main body 6. The smoke from a smoker is collected in the hood 12 surrounded by the curtain wall 11, sucked into the main body 6 of an air cleaner from the suction port 7 and cleaned. As a result, even if the force to suck the smoke from the suction port 7 is weak or the amt. of smoke is increased, the smoke is not passed before the suction port 7 or escaped to the upper part. Since the smoke is sucked into the main body 6 before diffusing into the room, the probability of cleaning is enhanced, and cleaning efficiency is improved. The efficiency in collecting smoke is increased as the area of the hood 12 increases, and cleaning efficiency is enhanced. |
