PURPOSE:To simplify replacement of recording paper and improve operability at the time of dealing with conveyance abnormality such as clogging of paper and the like and recording abnormality by enabling a coneyance means housing body and a recording means housing body to be freely opened or closed and further exposing the conveyance means and the recording means in the opening condition. CONSTITUTION:A recording means (printer) 10, which performs recording on a medium of recording in a recording position, is housed in a recording means housing body 1. Conveyance means (including paper feed rollers 30, 130, holding roller 70, obliquie movement preventive roller 80 and the like), which leads the meidum of recording towards the recording position and also separates said medium completed in recording process, from the recording device, is housed in a conveyance means housing body 2. This coneyance means housing body 2 is connected to the recording means housing body 1 so as to be attachable/detachable, that is, openable/closable by means of a hinge part 3, while both housing bodies 1, 2 are separated from each other and opened at the time of replacement of recording paper, exclusion of conveyance abnormality such as clogging of paper and the like and exclusion of abnormality of the recording means 10, the conveyance means and the recording means 10 being exposed. |
