摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately control minute flow rate by measuring molten metal quantity in a tundish by on-line and controlling ascending/descending speed and position of a stopper rod based on difference between measured value and the aimed value. CONSTITUTION:The stopper rod 14 is arranged in a molten metal holding device 16 for controlling supplying quantity of the molten metal 10 into the tundish 12. A stopper rod driving device providing part 18, which control is easily executed such as DC servomotor, is fitted to the molten metal holding device 16. Further, a load cell 20 is fitted to the tundish 12 at lower part so as to be able to measure molten metal wt. therein together with the tundish 12. At the time of casting, in case the measured wt. is less than the aimed value, the stopper rod 14 is ascended by the speed according to the difference and reversely, when the measured wt. is more than the aimed value, the speed command is given so as to descend the stopper rod by the speed according to the difference. Therefore, by moving the stopper rod, the control of accurate pouring rate can be executed.
