The method described calls for the different coating materials to be taken from working containers and fed, with continuous mixing, to ring mains from where each is selectively fed to a hollow-needle valve in a paint applicator fitted with a spray device, the hollow-needle valve bringing the coating materials to the immediate vicinity of the spray device. Each coating material is always fed to the same associated valve (81). Every time the coating material is changed, the valve (81a) in the paint applicator (28) is withdrawn from the applicator by a handling device and replaced by another valve (81b) corresponding to the next coating material to be sprayed. Those valves which are not inserted in the applicator are kept stowed in a storage rack (165). |
