PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-sulfur gas oil compsn. the inferiorities of which in wear and sliding characteristics as a pending problem until now, are greatly improved by using a novel additive. SOLUTION: One l of a low-sulfur gas oil fraction contg, up to 0.05wt.% sulfur is compounded with 20-500μl of at least one ethylene oxide adduct to an aliph. amine selected from among compds. represented by the formula (wherein R is a 5-30C satd. or unsatd. hydrocarbon group; and (x) and (y) are each the number of moles of ethylene oxide added and are each an integer of 0 or higher provided x+y is an integer of 1-10).
