<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhaust the generated heat outside so as to improve the lifetime characteristic and so prevent the runaway of heat by forming a wall of a battery jar out of a metal part at a specified ratio or more of volume, and using the material, which is obtained by coating this metal part with a resin. SOLUTION: A metal part such as iron or aluminum or the alloy, which is coated with a resin, is used for an outer wall part of the battery jar or a wall of a battery jar between the outer wall part and a cell. Desirably, as the metal part to be coated, a fin-shaped part or a heat pipe, or both of them are used. In the case where heat radiation of a battery is improved, use of a metal part over the whole surface of the battery jar is unnecessary. Metal part is used for the wall of the battery jar at 10% or more of volume. Efficient discharging performance during the lifetime is thereby remarkably improved by restricting the deviation of a negative electrode due to high temperature.</p> |
