摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesiveness between a glass electrode substrate and a cathode electrode by forming a cathode electrode on a glass electrode substrate at a cathode side thereof through an adhesion reinforcing layer. SOLUTION: An adhesion reinforcing layer 105 is provided on a glass substrate 100, and two lower electrodes 110, which are extended in the column direction, are arranged through this adhesion reinforcing layer 105, and while two upper electrodes 130, which are extended in the row direction, are arranged. In this case, each electrode 110 and each electrode 130 cross each other through an insulating layer 120, and a picture element electrode is formed between a projecting part of the electrode 110 and a pair of element electrodes in the vertical direction, which are divided from the electrode 130, near each crossing part. A side surface of each picture element electrode is formed with an electron emitting film 140 having a function for emitting electron with electrifying so as to form a pair of electron emitting elements 200. Since the adhesion reinforcing layer 105 is provided, adhesiveness of the substrate 100 and the electrode layers 110, 130 and the insulating layer 120 is improved, and the generation of damage of the electrode and the insulating body to be generated later can be prevented.</p>
