PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flocculated developer or toner from moving to a developing area and to obtain a uniform developer layer without irregularity all over the area of a picture plane by providing a position adjusting device for adjusting the positional deviation of a developer amount regulating body with respect to a developer carrier. SOLUTION: Two non-linear elastic member 36 is stuck and disposed on a holder 35 so as to press a columnar bar 5. Two small adjusting screws 351 are used as the position adjusting member, and the posture of the bar 5 to a developing sleeve 3 is regulated by making the tips of the screws 351 abut on the bar 5. The bar 5 is constituted of a columnar magnetic body, which is magnetized by magnetic field generated by a fixed magnet roller 4 inside the sleeve 3, so that pressing force is obtained by magnetic attractive force. Therefore, the bar 5 presses the sleeve 3 by the magnetic attractive force uniformly distributed in its longitudinal direction, whereby the extremely excellent developer layer is obtained. |
