发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which has a high luminance, low power consumption, a high definition, and a picture quality of vivid color and is superior in color reproducibility by improving reduction of the contrast and coloring and inversion phenomena which occur dependently upon a visual angle. SOLUTION: A pretilt angle to be given to liquid crystal molecules is made different or oriented films 11a and 11b different by orientation as shown in (b) are formed. Oriented films 11a and 11b are subjected to orientation treatment on the condition that their angles are about 2 deg. and about 5 deg. respectively. On the counter substrate side, orientation treatment division is not performed, and production is performed on the condition that the angle is about 3 deg.. Thus, an omnidirectional visual angle which is difficult to realize with only phase difference plates 2a and 2b is improved.
