<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring and recording device wherein no monitoring vacant time exists during long-time recording performed by automatically replacing a recording medium. SOLUTION: When the recording medium of a first recording means 2 is automatically replaced by an automatic changer 6 to record a monitoring video A for a long time, the monitoring video A is recorded by a second recording means 8 during replacing. Thus, the reproduction of the recording medium recorded by the first recording means 2 is changed to the recording state of the recording medium recorded by the second recording means 8, and thereby a better monitoring state than conventionally is provided.</p> |
