PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for producing clean and dry air and a method and device applicable to an air separation plant for producing ultra-high purity industrial gas product. SOLUTION: A feed air flow 10 is compressed by a compressor 12. The compressed feed air flow 18 is introduced to adsorption beds 50, 52 and 54 to adsorb water content and carbon monoxide and produce a first intermediate product flow 60. A part 66 of the first intermediate product flow 60 passes through a catalytic reaction device 32 to produce a second intermediate product flow 62. The second intermediate product flow 62 includes carbon dioxide and moisture produced by a catalytic reaction. After water content is removed from the second intermediate product flow 62 in a counterflow heat exchanger 28, the flow 62 is guided to the adsorption beds 50, 52 and 54 and carbon dioxide is adsorbed and a clean and dry product flow 64 is produced. |
