PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the fishing line length-measuring device of a fishing reel, which enables the input of data by simple operations irrespective of relating to the presence or absence of a lower wound line. SOLUTION: This fishing line length-measuring device of the fishing reel, characterized by comprising a revolution detection means for detecting the revolutions of a spool, a memorizing means for memorizing a fishing line length- calculating formula, the first input means for inputting the total wound quantity of a fishing line wound on the spool into the memorizing means, the second input means for inputting a prescribed wound quantity at a fine line winding- starting time, a calculating means for determining the fishing line length- calculating formula from the total fine line-wound quantity inputted by the first input means, the total spool revolutions detected by the revolution detection means, and the spool revolutions from the prescribed fishing line wound quantity inputted by the second input means to the prescribed wound quantity detected by the revolution detection means, and then calculating a fishing line length from a real spool revolutions at a real fishing time by the use of the determined fishing line length-calculating formula, and a display device for displaying the fishing line length calculated by the calculating means.
