PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear guiding means removing a snag when a rolling element rolls from an unladen area into a laden area and capable of reducing sliding resistance and noise during relative movement of a slider and a raceway rail at high speed. SOLUTION: The linear guiding means is provided with the raceway rail with a rolling face of the rolling element formed along a longitudinal direction, the slider attached to the raceway rail so as to relatively move and provided with a laden rolling face facing the rolling face, a return passage of the rolling element parallel with the laden rolling face, and a pair of direction change passages respectively connecting both end parts of the laden rolling face and the return passage and completing an endless circulation passage of the rolling element, and a plurality of the rolling elements bearing a load between the laden rolling face of the slider and the rolling face of the raceway rail and circulating in the endless circulation passage. Stepped parts where the laden rolling face is lower to side wall faces of inner diameter sides of the direction change passages are formed in portions connecting the direction change passages and the laden rolling face.
