<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a satchel and a bag of a covering lid type which have a locking part extending to reach the receiving part certainly so that a lid is closed easily and is locked certainly even when study tools exceeding a normal accommodating amount structurally assumed or notebooks and files too large to fit in an accommodating opening are accommodated. <P>SOLUTION: The locking part extends to reach the receiving part only by an easy operation of releasing or securing a stopper fitting since an adjusting mechanism made by combining the stopper fitting and a sliding belt is provided at an end part of the covering lid.
