The triple cutter makes a front edge cut in a first position of the book block and a side edge cut in a second position. The device has a first gripper which brings the block into the first position and a second gripper which brings the block into the second position. A delivery table which moves the book block to a neutral position is mounted to swivel away so that access is easier to the front cutter.
