SOUND-BASED VIRTUAL KEYBOARD, DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual keyboard capable of interfacing with an electronic device or a system without using a peripheral input device or an integrated type user interface whose device is complicated.

SOLUTION: The virtual input device is provided with: vibration transducer arrays 100 and 212; and a signal processors 120 and 214 which are connected to outputs of the vibration transducer arrays 100 and 212 and provide data corresponding to determined locations of vibration (142 and 206) detected by the transducer arrays 100 and 212. The transducer arrays 100 and 212 are in a state in contact with sound production surfaces 140 and 202 and the sound production surfaces 140 and 202 transmit the vibration 142 and 206 detected by the transducer arrays 110 and 212.
