<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding apparatus for decoding transmission data with more authenticity. <P>SOLUTION: In data communication in digital modulation-demodulation method, a transmitter, as an example, transmits data by assigning the transmission data on signal plane that shows phase and magnitude of the signal. The receiver determines a symbol value of the data by determining (demapping) which region defined by a threshold the signal point is contained in. When S/N ratio of the transmission path is not good, the receiver determines the symbol value of data incorrectly, so in the receiver, a gray zone is established according to movement of the signal point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
