<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared communication device enabling a users to recognize that there is a who desires to communicate with the user, and starting communication, even if the partner does not recognize the user although the user is in a distance (line-of-sight distance) that the partner is in sight. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises an omni-directional infrared signal receiver 11 and a paging delivery component 13. The omni-directional infrared signal receiver 11 receives an infrared signal transmitted in all of directions, centered on a user.
