PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a film, which can simultaneously attain suppression of whitening of the whole film after casting, suppression of air bubble generation, and improvement of peelability from a support, when a film having excellent heat resistance is formed by casting a solution.SOLUTION: The method for producing a film includes: a step for solution casting a dope containing any of a cycloolefin resin, an acrylic resin and an acryl-styrene copolymer resin and a solvent on a support; a first drying step for forming a dope film in which the residual solvent amount is controlled to 35-65 mass% by maintaining the dope after casting at an atmospheric temperature lower than 40°C; a second drying step for drying the dope film after the first drying step at a drying starting temperature of 40°C or higher and at an atmospheric temperature higher than Tg-70°C, when the residual solvent amount is 35-65 mass%; and a step for forming a film by peeling off the dope film after the second drying step from the support. The solvent contains alcohols having on average 1 to 4 carbon atoms in an amount of 1-13 mass%, and the value of Tg of the film is 90°C or more. |
