A method for transmitting data between wireless devices in a wireless communication system is provided. A first wireless device acquires downlink reception timing with a base station. The first wireless device determines transmission timing for direct communication with a second wireless device based on the downlink reception timing with the base station. The first wireless device transmits data for the direct communication to the second wireless device at the transmission timing for the direct communication.

1. A method for communicating between wireless devices in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
determining, by a first wireless device, a downlink reception timing for receiving a downlink subframe with a base station; determining, by the first wireless device, an uplink transmission timing for transmitting an uplink subframe with the base station, the uplink subframe including a plurality of Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbols; and communicating, by the first wireless device, directly with a second wireless device by using the uplink subframe, wherein a last SC-FDMA symbol of the uplink subframe is not used for direct communication between the first wireless device and the second wireless device.
