PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit efficiently performance of an SSD.SOLUTION: A storage control device controls a storage device containing a memory comprising: a main area for storing data; and a spare area which is a preparation of the main area. An acquisition unit acquires from the storage device, frequency information of reading processing and writing processing to the memory. A storage unit stores management information which is used for managing an area which is usable as the main area in the spare area. A notification unit notifies the storage device of a request for allocating the area which is usable as the main area in the spare area as the main area on the basis of the management information, when the number of times of reading processing for a predetermined period from the memory is larger than a predetermined number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1C
