<p>The mechanism restricts acceleration on starting an engine with a governor, whose output member rotates a shaft (1) to adjust the injection pumps. A stop (3) slides in a housing (4) between the working position acting against a lever (2) fixed to the shaft and one clear of the lever path. The stop limits the cylinder charge to below the max., and a spring retracts the stop into the ineffective position. A locking device is incorporated in the stop to secure it in the wroking position when the lever acts on it in this position. The stop may have some lateral play in the working position.</p> |
