A food product according to the invention intended as pet food is mainly made up of flesh from fish of the species family Salmonides. In a preferred embodiment there is provided a dog biscuit containing between 80 and 90% by weight of flesh and between 20 and 20% by weight of fish meal. The food product may be made by the method according to the invention by mincing the flesh and mixing it with the meal. The mass is divided into small portions and then baked in a baking process known in itself. The dog biscuit is attractive by its smell and taste to dogs and contains omega 3 fatty acids that are beneficial to the dogs' health. |
