PURPOSE:To prevent the disengagement of plural fixed beds from a cylindrical body for housing plural pieces of the fixed beds at the time of assembly and disassembly of the electrolytic cell by installing a support in a part of an aperture in the lower part of the above-mentioned cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:The support 16 is installed in a part of the aperture surface in the lower part of the vertical type cylindrical body 15 which internally houses the plural fixed beds 17 and is opened at both the top and bottom surfaces. A pair of electrode terminals 14, 20 for power feeding are disposed in proximity to the respective fixed beds 17 in the uppermost and lowermost positions of both aperture parts. Water to be treated is supplied from the one aperture into the cylindrical body 15 and is subjected to the electrolysis treatment. The water to be treated is taken out of another aperture. The downward movement of the stacked fixed beds 17 is suppressed by the support 16 in the taking of this cylindrical body 15 out of the electrolytic cell 2 and the reinstallation thereof into the cell and, therefore, the disassembly and assembly operations are carried out without supporting the support 16. The working efficiency is thus greatly improved. |
