A system and method for home monitoring and treating of asthma includes assessing an asthma patient to determine a relative severity of condition, selecting a kit containing various monitoring and/or treating hardware, and causing the selected kit to be dispensed. The condition can be determined from among at least three relative levels of severity of the asthma condition, and each level of severity has a corresponding kit. Each kit includes monitoring equipment, and may include additional treatment hardware.
