PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image forming element, especially, a combination of a transparent magnetic layer and an electrically conductive layer effectively adapted to various needs of silver halide photographic sensitive materials or the image forming elements in a wide variety of other types of them. SOLUTION: This image forming element to be used for an image forming method comprises a support and an image forming layer and the transparent magnetic recording layer and the electrically conductive layer and this conductive layer contains acicular and crystalline conductive metal-containing particles dispersed as a single phase into a film-forming binder and these particles have sectional diameters of <=0.02μm and an aspect ratio of >=5:1 and the above transparent magnetic recording layer contains ferromagnetic particles dispersed into a film-forming binder.
