METHOD FOR COATING WITH FINNING PREVENTIVE AGENT AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

A method and an apparatus for the application of finning preventive agent in an apparatus for casting anodes for electrolyzing copper by pouring molten copper into the molds, in which the inner planes of the molds can be coated with the finning preventive agent in a reliable and efficient manner, is provided. Before pouring molten copper into the molds, silicon oil is automatically applied to the inner planes of the molds M dividedly in three applications by industrial robots of a vertical multiarticulate type having brushes. An amount of silicon oil consumed is 4 to 10 cc for one mold.
