If no such guaranteed bandwidth data unit (16) is found, the system (10) dequeues (40) from a highest priority queue having a head entry associated with an available bandwidth data unit (16), for which there are sufficient transmission credits available (43) to begin transmission based on a flow control mode (32, 34, 36, 38) associated with the data unit (16). If no such available bandwidth data unit (16) is found, then no data unit is dequeued (40) during that traversal of the queue list (27).</p> |
