PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an outer rotor motor which is used for an OA apparatus, which improves a cooling effect, which is small and which can obtain a high output. SOLUTION: This outer rotor motor is constituted in such a way that a rotor surrounds the circumference of a stator so as to be rotatable, that the rotor frame 17 of the rotor is formed in a cup shape which comprises a disk part 17a, a cylinder part 17b continued to it and an opening part 25, that a ventilation hole 24 is formed in the disk part 17a, and that the winding 16 of the stator is cooled by a ventilating operation. The size of the ventilation holes 24 is set in such a way that a mounting screw (a mounting member) 7 which attaches the outer rotor motor to an apparatus is not passed. As a result, a foreign matter such as the mounting screw 7 will not enter the inside of the rotor.
