ANTIFOULING COATING COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antifouling coating capable of controlling the elution rate of a film and exhibiting antifouling performances over a long period without deteriorating coating properties or film properties even after long-term storage. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a film-forming resin, (B) a copper antifouling agent and (C) a chelating agent which is at least one kind selected from (I) an oligomer prepared by copolymerizing (i) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer according to a catalytic chain-transfer polymerization method and (II) a copolymerization oligomer obtained by copolymerizing (ii) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of the oligomer (I) prepared by copolymerization according to the catalytic chain-transfer polymerization method and having ethylenically unsaturated groups. The oligomer (I) and the copolymerization oligomer (II) are a chelate-forming oligomer having at least two or more chelate-forming groups in one molecule or (iii) a chelate- forming group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
