PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating material coating device which is capable of drastically decreasing the defective articles of members to be coated with coating materials and a coating material coating method. SOLUTION: Prizewinners 12 are destaticized by a destatizer 14. The UV curing coating materials are applied to the destaticized prizewinners 12 by dispensers 18 and 20. Since the prizewinners 12 are destaticized before the coating application of the coating materials, the coating materials do not splash and the prizewinners 12 do not adsorb the dust and dirt in the air. Since the coating materials are automatically applied to the prizewinners by the dispersers 18 and 20, the need for operators themselves to apply the coating materials like heretofore is eliminated and therefore the coating work for a long time is made possible. Further, the coating materials are applied to the prizewinners in accordance with a prescribed operation program by the dispensers 18 and 20, by which the generation of the defective articles, such as the bleeding out of the coating materials and the occurrence of shorting, the neglect in feeding and color differences can be prevented as compared to the case the workers themselves make coating, is prevented.
