PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small generator for a vacuum cleaner that realizes reduction of loss of a suction force, reduction of susceptibility to dust and cost reduction by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This small generator for the vacuum cleaner has a body 1 attached to the wall of a dust passage so as to confrontationally project inward and outward of the wall and make the inward and outward airtight, a turbine 10 rotatably stored in the turbine room 2 of the internal portion 1a of the body 1, a generator 19 mounted to the external portion 1b of the body 1. In the internal portion 1a, an intake groove 3 communicating with the turbine room 2 is formed so as to apply air current in the dust passage to the turbine 10. The thickness of the internal portion 1a gradually decreases from the upstream side to the downstream side. In an attached state, a high pressure area occurs upstream of the internal portion 1a, and a low pressure area occurs from the vicinity of the center of the internal portion 1a to the downstream side, and a pressure difference produces fast air current from an air suction groove 3 to the turbine room 2, and rotates the turbine 10 at a high speed.
